The car manufacturer Tesla is now considering Nevada as a home for it's Gigafactory.
This factory would make the batteries necessary to run these electric vehicles. The bid for this would be around $400 - $500 million dollars to bring the factory to the state. Nevada's Legislation will hold a special session to decide if the state can take on this task. The factory would be about 10 million sq ft in size.The Tesla people have estimated that 6500 jobs would be created to run the plant. Panasonic has come on board to team up with Tesla to help manufacture these batteries.
